Migrating Outlook Emails
Follow the steps below to export emails out of your @legalaccessplans.com box to your new @legaleaseplans.com
1. Open Outlook under “Old Data” mode. Be sure that the Inbox doesn’t have any new mail in it (all email should be before 12/2).
2. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export
3. Export to a file > Outlook Data file (.pst) then select the top-level folder (their email address), then click Next.
4. Replace the file name backup.pst with 2022.pst, click Next. When asked if you want to password protect the export, just click OK, then wait for it to copy everything to the new 2022.pst file.
5. In Outlook, click the File menu > Account settings, then Manage Profiles.
6. Click the Show Profiles button, then click the Add button
7. Name the new profile LEP, press OK, then go through the logging in process using your @legaleaseplan.com email.
8. After the new profile is set up, select Always use this profile, and make sure LEP is selected.
9. Close, then open Outlook and make sure you’re in the new @legaleaseplan.com box.
10. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
11. Import from another program or file
12. Outlook Data File (.pst)
13. Open the 2022.pst created earlier.
